Julia Polyakova

Julia is the founder and Tour Director of the FrozenRocks freeride project.
She's an avid backcountry skier and a ski guide in her home mountains- the Alatau and the Altay. She's an aspirant ski guide and studying for a qualification with the KMGA (Kyrgyz Mountain Guides Association). Her backcountry experience includes the Tien-Shan, the Alps (Austria, France, Italy), the Altai, the Dolomites, the Indian Himalayas, Russian Siberia, Kyrgyzstan (Karakol, Susamyr etc), the Caucasus (Gudauri, Kazbegi, Svaneti), and others. 
Julia is passionate about traveling and has many years of experience of expeditions, treks and other outdoor activities. For the past years she has been totally focussing on backcountry skiing: freeride, ski touring and ski mountaineering. Julia is an professional organizer of many outdoor events and ski programmes and has done a lot for the development of freeride culture in Kazakhstan.
