Peak Tourist – Freeride around Cosmostation

One of the most popular spots for spring and summer backcountry riding in Almaty. Peak Tourist (3,935 m) is located in the area of the Big Almaty Lake and Cosmostation. Spectacular views of Soviet Peak and Peak Karnizny open up from the summit.

The asphalt road leading from the city to the base of the peak allows you to get up and get back down to the city in a day trip, and no specialist mountaineering equipment is needed for the ascent.
