A unique spring backcountry camp in the wild and uninhabited Kumbelsu valley, riding lines from the surrounding glaciers. We’ll be skiing the glaciers in the bowl formed by the ridges linking two 4,000m summits, Peak Sovetov (4,317m) and Peak Lokomotiv (4,209m).
We’ll stay in a tent camp by a morraine lake.
Minimum group size: 3 people.
!!! Please note that this programme is designed for skiers / snowboarders who are confident on the piste (including black runs), have some experience of riding off piste, and are in good physical shape.
Cost:
€500 per person. For a group of four the price is €430 per person, and for groups of 5 and more €380.

Guide, return transfer from Almaty, accommodation in a tent camp, full board, porters to transfer gear, avalanche equipment rental (beacon, shovel, probe).

Programme:
Day 1. Meet in Almaty, transfer to the Big Almaty valley, trek to the Kumbelsu valley (equipment carried by porters), settle in the camp. Free time.
Days 2-6. Ski-touring / splitboarding trips from the camp.
We’ll choose our routes based on the weather, the snow conditions and the ability of the group.
Day 6. Transfer back to Almaty.
