If by the start of March you’re missing snowy mountainsides, and if you’re keen to be one of the first people to discover one of Almaty’s most recently-discovered freeride spots, we have the answer – the Turgen valley, one of the most exciting spots around Almaty.
For those who aren’t scared of living in rustic conditions in their pursuit of the snowiest slopes and the best lines, we have something special for you!
We’ll live in a tented camp in the mountains, riding lines from the surrounding ridges each day. In the evenings there’ll be time for lectures on avalanche safety and for learning more about ski-touring techniques.

!!! Please note that this programme is designed for skiers / snowboarders who are confident on the piste (including black runs), have some experience of riding off piste, and are in good physical shape.

Cost:
€840 per person (for groups of 5-6 people).
Cost includes:
Guide, return transfer from Almaty (2-3 hours each way), accommodation in a tent camp, full board, avalanche equipment rental (beacon, shovel, probe).
Programme:
Day 1. Meet in Almaty, transfer to Turgen, settle into the camp. Acclimatization tour. Free time.
Days 2-6. Ski touring and split boarding on the ridges nearest the camp.
We’ll choose our routes based on the weather, the snow conditions and the ability of the group.
Day 6. Transfer back to Almaty.
